The Medical Staff of Southern Maine Medical Center consists of over 200 active physicians, plus consulting, courtesy, honorary physicians, and allied health professionals. They represent the specialties of family and general practice; internal medicine; obstetrics and gynecology; including the sub-specialties of cardiology, dermatology, pulmonology, oncology/hematology, neurology, gastroenterology, and allergy/immunology; pediatrics; general surgery; orthopedic surgery; otorhinolaryngology; urology; ophthalmology; oral surgery and general dentistry; psychiatry; pathology; podiatry, anesthesiology, radiology, emergency medicine, and occupational medicine.
