SMMC Hosts Open House at New Walk-In Care Center in Saco
Open 7 Days – Noon to 8 PM - Most convenient non-emergency care in York County

BIDDEFORD, Maine -- June 18, 2012 -- Southern Maine Medical Center (SMMC) hosted an Open House on Saturday, June 16 at its new Walk-In Care center. Located in its PrimeCare Physicians office at 655 Main Street at the corner of Route 1 and Ross Road in Saco, the center is open seven days a week from noon to 8 p.m. And with easy access from Route 1 and the Maine Turnpike, Walk-In Care provides residents with the most convenient non-emergency care in York County!

“SMMC’s new Walk-In Care center, open daily from noon to 8 p.m., is a wonderful complement to our PrimeCare Physician Services and state-of-the-art Emergency Department which is always open,” SMMC President and CEO Ed McGeachey told the crowd. “Community members now have access to high-quality, non-emergency care for those times when their doctor isn’t available. We’re especially pleased to be expanding services here in Saco, at a location that’s easy to get to from many York County communities,” added McGeachey. 

Anyone seeking non-emergency treatment is welcome at Walk-In Care. No appointment is necessary. X-ray and lab services are available on site and the Walk-In Care staff treats health issues like:

• Colds, Sore Throats and Flu
• Strains and Sprains
• Ear, Eye and Sinus Infections
• Cuts and Abrasions
