SMMC Gift Shop Offering Deep Discounts in Time for Holiday Shopping

Have you ever thought of your hospital gift shop as a destination shopping spot? If not, then stop by Southern Maine Medical Center’s (SMMC) gift shop, The Pill Box, to see the wide variety of merchandise available.  Just in time for the holidays, The Pill Box will be holding a 25 percent off storewide sale from Monday, November 26 through Friday, November 30.  Special sales tables will also feature specific merchandise at 50 to 75 percent off. The Pill Box is open daily from 9:30 a.m to 6:30 p.m.

Sponsored by the SMMC Auxiliary and managed by volunteer Suzanne Madore, The Pill Box is stocked with scarves, jewelry, picture frames, Marie Osborne bags, battery operated scented candles, baby gifts by Gantz, Gund and Ty, organic clothes and toys, small decorative items for the home, Pashmina wraps, LED angel ornaments, bird chimes and plant stakes, Willow Tree items, Maine Scene mugs, bells, and homemade quilts.

The Pill Box is conveniently located right off the lobby at the main entrance of the hospital. All proceeds from gift shop sales support Auxiliary activities such as the hospitality cart for visitors, the Healing Garden outside the Dorothy Walker Bush Emergency Care Pavilion, and newborn stabillettes.
