Heart Attack Survivor Lights 'Tree of Life' to Support Fundraising Campaign for New Defibrillators

Heart attack survivor Nelson Ballou flipped the switch to illuminate the trees at Southern Maine Medical Center’s (SMMC) Auxiliary Tree Lighting on December 5, 2012. This year the many donations to the Tree of Life Campaign will support the Auxiliary’s commitment to purchase two new defibrillators in the SMMC Emergency department providing a true gift of life.  The SMMC Auxiliary will continue accepting donations to the campaign through the end of the year.  To make a gift, contact SMMC’s Development Office at 283-7234.
