Very often when individuals experience significant challenges in their lives and triumph over obstacles, they have the most amazing stories to share. This October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Southern Maine Medical Center’s (SMMC) Cancer Care Program will hold its Annual Breast Cancer Survivor Tea in which all breast cancer survivors and their family are invited to attend.
This free event will take place on Monday, October 15 from 5 to 7pm in SMMC’s second floor classrooms. Special tea cups will decorate the room and women will be invited to keep them following the celebration.
Space is limited so pre-registration is required by calling 283-7320.
Southern Maine Medical Center’s cancer program has been awarded a three-year accreditation with commendation, the highest level awarded, by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (ACoSCoC).
