WOUND OSTOMY RN - WOUND CLINIC
A registered, professional nurse will serve as a wound, ostomy, and continence care provider and will be a vital and contributing member of the patient care team. This nurse provides education and consultation in order to meet the complex needs of wound, ostomy, continence patients and their families. In addition, this nurse provides continuity in assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient needs. This nurse provides direct patient care in order to teach other nurses or to provide assessment in complex patient situations. Functions under the general supervision of the WOC Nurse Care Coordinator and/or the Biddeford Site Rehab Supervisor.
Qualifications: B.S.N. with current licensure from the Maine State Board of Nursing. BLS required. WOCN required, if not a WOCN then he/she need to be working towards such specialty within (12) months of hire date. WOCN Board Certified preferred but not necessary. Recommended three years acute care clinical nursing experience in the last 5 years.
