In July 2009, Hylah and Chris rushed their 21 year-old son, Casey, to SMMC's Emergency Department. He was suffering from paralyzing pain in his head, neck and shoulders. SMMC's doctors diagnosed bacterial meningitis. Casey has fully recovered and is enjoying his second year of college in Vermont.
